Bultei

The territory of Bultei hosts numerous archaeological finds, among which the tomb of the giants of Su Coveccu stands out, a monumental dolmenic burial (with a covered corridor). The Nuragic civilization is also testified by other tombs of the giants and by numerous nuraghes.
The most interesting is the Tilariga nuraghe, datable between the 15th and 11th centuries BC. which stands on a relief overlooking the town, formed by a central tower and a bastion with three other towers. In the walls you can still see the remains of the corbels that supported the upper terrace, perhaps in wood.
The Nuraghe Nurchidda, also known as Sa Matta (the bush) is a complex nuraghe, of which, however, only the keep, i.e. the central tower, with a tholos roof and a circular structure obtained by overlapping rows of stones in diameter gradually decreasing.
