Barumini

In the territory of Barumini the most famous archaeological site is Su Nuraxi, consisting of a large and imposing quatrefoiled complex nuraghe with irregular hexagonal wall and the village with huts of different types depending on the chronological context. The life of the complex began during the Middle Bronze Age (around 1500 BC) to continue with changes, modifications and new buildings until the Iron Age (1000-700 BC) and, without interruption until the Punic and Roman era.
