Arbus

The territory of Arbus was populated continuously since the Nuragic age, as evidenced by the remains of some nuraghi (Frucca, Is Cabis, Maccioni, Perdas Albas, Pranu, Priogosu, etc.) and the tomb of the giants of Brunku Espis, situated in locality Funtanazza, dating back to the final Bronze Age, also frequented later, at least until the 5th century BC.
Another significant monument is the Roman maritime villa of S’Angiargia from the 2nd century AD, positioned in the locality of the same name in the Arbus seashore (Marina di Arbus). It has a system centered on a longitudinal small porch that distinguishes some service areas from the spa area, of which the frigidarium with two basins and the mosaic floor with quadrangular pomegranate leaves motifs remain.
